Kitchen Takes Over

The assignment: Radically rethinking restaurants.

Develop a new spatial and service concept addressing the restaurant field focusing on the relationship of services and spaces. The project proceeded in phases: First we decided on the area of interest, then did a user study and continued to systems, service journey and finally the spatial concept.

The flexible spatial division can be adjusted according to amount of customers and activity.

Monday evening, left side of the restaurant is used for cooking class. Also Deli area is enlarged.

Saturday evening, the left side is part of restaurant’s customer seating area.
