A birch stool for course Furniture Design (BA), Autumn 2018

TAAVI

Taavi is a firm stool, that is made completely with wooden joints.

The structure of the stool is very simple; leg parts attach to the seat with a dovetail joint and parts on different sides are attached when square piece locks to a circle hole when the stool is pressed together. All the joints are left out of sight and as a result there is a minimalistic and even graphic form left.

The stool is 100% birch.

An exhibition: NO TRACE

Taavi was displayed at the exhibition No Trace, at Aalto University Väre-building 22.11.-6.12.2018
