The assignment and process

The course project was divided to two courses in Autumn 2019 and Spring 2020. In the first part we had to find an inspiration picture and create some sort of art object. I was inspired by snow on a branch and played with wool textures and light.

From that I developed the idea into a chair with soft, thick upholstery. The legs connect to the backrest through the seat part, while creating a branch-like detail. The seat part was cut to shape with a CNC machine.
